Bahrain is stepping up prepations to take part in the 24th edition of the IHF Men’s Junior World Championship (2023 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship.
The tournament will be held in both Germany and Greece under the aegis of the International Handball Federation (IHF) from 20 June to 2 July 2023.
National coach Essam Abdulla and Assistant Coach Raed Marzooq have lined up an initial list of 23 players who will take part in the preparations programme.
These are Abdullla Abdulkarim, Kumail Fuad (Al Najma), Sadiq Jaffer, Hussein Ali (Tubli), Ahmed Ridha, Ahmed Alwani, Jassim Khamis (Al Shaba), Mustapha Al Haiki, Hassan Khalil, Ahmed Al Zai, Hussein Al Hawaj(Al Ahli), Ali Al Asheeri, Hesham Ahmed, Mahmoud Abdulhussein ( Al Dair), Mohammed Humaid, Ali Jameel, Ali Mahmoud (Al Ittifaq), Yasser Mohammed, Ali Madan, Maitham Ahmed (Barbar), Ali Ridha, Ali Al Fardan (Al Tadhamun), Mahmoud Al Khunaizi (Al Ittihad).
Bahrain’s national junior team has been drawn in Group 6, along with Sweden, Slovenia and Challenge Cup winner.
