Bahrain Condemns Drone Attack on Saudi Oil Pipeline

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has issued a strong condemnation of the drone attack targeting the East-West oil pipeline in the Riyadh and Madinah regions of Saudi Arabia. The attack, which originated from Iraqi territory, resulted in injuries and property damage.According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain released a statement denouncing the incident as a violation of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighbourliness. The ministry emphasized that the attack on vital civilian infrastructure poses a threat to the security of energy supplies in the region.The statement conveyed Bahrain's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, asserting that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia are integral to Bahrain's own security and stability. The ministry affirmed Saudi Arabia's right to take necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, security, facilities, citizens, and residents in line with international law, and extended wishes for the sw ift recovery of those injured.Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of preventing any state's territory from being used as a launch site for attacks against neighboring nations. Additionally, the ministry expressed support for Iraq's efforts to prevent such attacks in the future.The statement concluded with a call to the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in addressing attacks that threaten energy security and aim to destabilize regional security and stability.
