Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain chaired the 65th Coordination Meeting of the Ministers of Labour of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, held in Cairo. The meeting saw the participation of Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the League of Arab States.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Zainal emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination on labour-related issues that are of mutual interest. This coordination aims to strengthen the presence and positions of GCC member states in relevant Arab and regional fora.
The meeting also reviewed several items on the agenda for the 52nd session of the Arab Labour Conference, which is scheduled to be held in Cairo from 13 to 20 September.
