Manama:Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, engaged in discussions with Yousef Rajji, Lebanon's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, during the 22nd IISS Manama Dialogue 2026.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting evaluated the robust relations between Bahrain and Lebanon and their citizens, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest to achieve shared objectives.
The ministers also addressed the Lebanese Government's initiatives to protect Lebanon's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. They emphasized the importance of ensuring state control over weapons and supporting the Lebanese Armed Forces and Internal Security Forces in maintaining security and stability.
Additionally, the discussions included exchanging views on regional developments and assessing the effects of disruptions to maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab Strait on the global economy and regional security and stability.
