Manama: The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), in collaboration with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of Bahrain, will present the Chinese cultural show "Tree of Life" on Thursday, September 10, at 8pm at the Cultural Hall.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the evening is part of efforts to enhance cultural exchange and communication between Bahrain and China, highlighting the role of culture and the arts in fostering friendship and cooperation between the two nations. The event aims to create an artistic space that showcases the convergence and dialogue between the ancient Dilmun civilisation and Chinese culture.
The show will feature a series of artistic and musical performances, including choral singing, dance, Tai Chi, Peking Opera, light and shadow art, traditional performing arts, folk costumes, and musical rhythms. These performances will reflect the richness of cultural and civilisational heritage and the diversity of artistic expression.
Prior to the main event, a series of interactive workshops will commence at 7pm, offering audiences an opportunity to engage with various aspects of Chinese cultural heritage. These workshops will include an introduction to the guqin, tea ceremony, Chinese calligraphy, traditional painting, and the art of paper cutting.
