Bahrain’s commitment to combating communicable diseases stressed

Health Minister Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayyid Jawad Hasan stressed keenness on all developments related to epidemiological investigation and response to global communicable diseases.

 

She underlined Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of the health system and building on national health achievements.

 

Chairing the first meeting of the National Taskforce for Combating Communicable Diseases, she stressed the team’s role in supporting proactive planning, taking precautionary and preventive measures, and increasing preparations to enhance response to any health developments related to communicable diseases.

 

The session focused on the latest health developments related to monkeypox and ways to limit the spread of the virus and maintain public safety.

 

It stressed the importance of strengthening epidemiological surveillance plans and following up on the implementation of the recommendations and protocols issued by the World Health Organization in this regard.

Undersecretary for Political Affairs attends Israel Bonds dinner in New York

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, highlighted the wise diplomatic approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of the Government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for consolidating the values of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence towards further security, peace and prosperity.

 

The Undersecretary expressed his pride in attending the dinner hosted by Israel Bonds in New York headed by Mr. Dani Naveh, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, amidst the presence of a group of leaders and businessmen of the American Jewish community, heads of American Jewish organizations, and many diplomatic and media figures.

 

He affirmed Bahrain’s support for efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace solution in the Middle East and building on the outcomes reached in light of the Abraham Accords, the Joint Warm Peace Strategy, and the outcomes of the Negev Summit.

 

He further appreciated the pivotal role of the USA in sponsoring the peace process, stressing the importance of the participation of American Jewish organizations in stimulating economic and development projects, towards greater development in the region.

Southern Governor receives AUBH Acting President

Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received Acting President of the American University of Bahrain (AUBH), Dr. Bradley Cook. He discussed with him joint cooperation through programmes organized by the governorate to achieve the sustainable development goals and meet citizens’ aspirations.

 

HH pointed out the development projects being carried out in the Southern Governorate, particularly in the educational field which is considered the pillar of growth.

 

For his part, Dr. Bradley Cook praised keenness of HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and his follow-up on the main educational projects being implemented in the Southern Governorate.

Preparatory meeting for Bahraini-Emirati anti-terror exercise “Jalmud 3” held

Representatives from the Bahrain and Emirati forces held preparatory meeting for the joint Bahraini-Emirati anti-terror exercise “Jalmud 3”.

The exercise is scheduled to be conducted at the end of the year in Bahrain.

The meeting discussed all preparations for all stages of the exercise, within the framework of military and security cooperation, joint work to combat terrorism.

The exercise will raise readiness and exchange field experiences, which contributes to strengthening military capabilities and increasing coordination between the participating forces.

MOI Undersecretary receives Police Band Commander

His Excellency Interior Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa has received Police Band Commander Major-General Dr Mubarak Najem Al Najem, who presented two police personnel Yousif Ahmed Jassim and Orfan Ibrahim Al Omairi for graduating from a course at the Music Military Shcool in Pakistan. The course was divided into practical and theoretical sessions.
