Manama: Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Ambassador to the United Kingdom, chaired a crucial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ambassadors with Lord Anas Sarwar, the UK Minister for Trade, as part of Bahrain's presidency of the 46th GCC session. This meeting focused on enhancing economic and trade relations between GCC member states and the United Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions emphasized the need to strengthen partnerships across economic and trade sectors. A significant portion of the dialogue was dedicated to the ongoing negotiations for a free trade agreement between the GCC and the UK. Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed underscored the importance of fostering stronger engagement between businesses and industrial institutions on both sides, aiming to transform the outcomes of these negotiations into long-lasting economic collaborations that would be mutually beneficial.
