Manama: During the Kingdom of Bahrain's presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium and Head of its Mission to the European Union, met with Simon Mordue, Chief Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the European Commission.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Ambassador Haifa Abdulrahman Al Jedea, Head of the Mission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the European Union, and Ambassador Fahad Saqr Al Jemaaz, Head of the Mission of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council to the European Union. The discussion focused on preparations for the second GCC-EU Summit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and explored avenues to enhance cooperation between the GCC and EU, particularly in economic cooperation, investment, and energy security.
The participants at the meeting also exchanged views on recent regional developments and diplomatic initiatives aimed at reducing tensions. They emphasized the importance of continued collaboration on mutual interests to promote security, stability, and peace in the region.
