Manama:Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, held a meeting with Tasos Tzionis, National Security Advisor and Director of the Intelligence Service of Cyprus, during the 22nd IISS Manama Dialogue 2026.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor, and Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad extended a warm welcome to the Cypriot official, emphasizing the strong and evolving relationship between Bahrain and Cyprus, particularly in security and strategic cooperation. The meeting covered discussions on mutual interests, regional and international developments, and strategies for enhancing collaboration. Both parties stressed the importance of reinforcing regional and international security, ensuring the security of vital waterways, and safeguarding freedom of navigation to support development and prosperity.
