Manama:Bahrain's young tennis players have achieved significant success at the Asian Tennis Federation U16 Championship. Hashim Al Toobli emerged victorious in the boys' singles category, further cementing his prowess by claiming the doubles title alongside partner Talal Al Sayed.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini duo triumphed in the doubles final against fellow countrymen Yousif Kamal and Ali Al Khayat with a score of 6-1, 7-6 (4), ensuring that Bahrain secured both first and second places in the doubles category.
In the girls' singles competition, Maryam Al Abbasi of Bahrain finished as runner-up, adding to the country's strong performance in the tournament. This success follows Bahrain's recent achievements in the U14 competitions, where Yousif Kamal and Al Maha Faqih also claimed titles, underscoring the nation's growing talent in tennis.
