Yen Holds Steady as US Dollar Weakens Amid Falling Treasury Yields

Tokyo:The yen remained stable on Friday as investors awaited the Bank of Japan's upcoming monetary policy decision. Meanwhile, the US dollar experienced a decline, coinciding with a drop in Treasury yields, as a selloff in artificial intelligence stocks prompted investors to seek safer assets.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the dollar index decreased to 101.77, while the yen traded at approximately 157.815 per dollar. This movement reflects a broader trend in currency markets affected by shifts in investor sentiment.

Additionally, the euro maintained its position at $1.1185, and the British pound saw a slight increase of 0.1% to $1.3390. In other currency movements, the Australian dollar showed little change, remaining at $0.7030, while the New Zealand dollar edged down to $0.5626.
