Manama:His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Asaad Al Shaibani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, during his visit to the Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Syrian Foreign Minister conveyed greetings from His Excellency Ahmed Al Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, along with the President's best wishes for Bahrain's continued progress and prosperity. In response, His Majesty the King extended greetings to President Al Sharaa, wishing him success in his efforts and ongoing security, stability, and progress in Syria.
His Majesty praised the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Syria, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation across various sectors for the mutual benefit of both nations. He expressed appreciation for Syria's positions under President Al Sharaa's leadership, particularly its support for Bahrain and condemnation of recent Iranian attacks.
King Hamad reaffirmed Bahrain's steadfast support for Syria's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as the aspirations of the Syrian people. The meeting also covered regional and international developments of mutual interest, focusing on the latest regional developments, the current situation in Syria, and the Syrian government's efforts to bolster security, stability, and development.
In response, the Syrian Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the King for the warm welcome and hospitality, as well as for His Majesty's commitment to enhancing bilateral relations.
