Accra:The Independent National Electoral Commission has set the presidential election for May 15, 2027. Elections for both houses of parliament are scheduled for April 15.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this decision follows constitutional amendments approved by parliament in March, which extended President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud's term by one year beyond its originally planned end in May 2026.
