Manama:The Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, honored exceptional individuals, institutions, and projects in civil service, labor, development, and social affairs across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries during a ceremony in the Kingdom. This event coincided with Bahrain's hosting of the 22nd meeting of the Committee of Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Agencies of the GCC, the 12th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Labour, and the 12th meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Social Affairs and Development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ceremony was attended by Sherida Abdullah Saad Al Maousherji, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of Kuwait, along with various heads of GCC delegations and Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted Bahrain's commitment to developing and empowering individuals through civil service, labor, and social development, reflecting the Kingdom's comprehensive development goals under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and guided by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. This dedication aligns with the broader aspirations of GCC leaders and citizens for regional prosperity.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah expressed pride in recognizing those whose achievements have significantly impacted their communities, encouraging continued innovation and leadership. He congratulated the honored individuals and institutions, commending their inspiring contributions to civil service, labor, and social development.
The Deputy Prime Minister also praised the efforts of the GCC General Secretariat and related committees in fostering cooperation, coordination, and joint initiatives. During the event, Shaikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service Bureau, emphasized Bahrain's commitment to GCC cooperation and the development of human resources.
GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi noted that honorees' achievements have enhanced public and private sector environments, illustrating successful GCC collaboration. Additionally, Shaikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al Malek Al Sabah, representing the honorees, acknowledged the significant support from GCC leaders in nurturing national talent and promoting regional development initiatives.
