iGA Conducts Labour Force Survey Targeting 4,000 Households in Bahrain

Manama:The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) is conducting the Labour Force Survey 2026, reaching over 4,000 randomly selected households across Bahrain's governorates. This effort will run from October to December 2026.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the survey aims to gather detailed statistical data on the characteristics of the labor force, economic activities, and changes in the labor market. This information is intended to support the development of evidence-based policies and plans. Duaa Sultan Mohamed, Deputy Chief Executive for Statistics and Population Registry at the iGA, emphasized the importance of precise data collection in this initiative.

The survey employs field interviews and telephone calls, following standards set by the International Labour Organisation (ILO). Households are contacted via the number (17878070) to introduce the survey and schedule visits. Field researchers will present identification cards upon visiting homes, and their credentials can be verified on the iGA website (iga.gov.bh). The iGA assures that all collected information remains confidential and is used solely for statistical purposes, urging cooperation from the selected households.

For further inquiries, the public can reach out to iGA at (17878070) from Sunday to Thursday, between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm.
