Manama:Jamal Mohamed Fakhro, First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council and Head of Bahrain's Parliamentary Division delegation, met with Amelia Lakrafi, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie (APF), during the 153rd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held in the United Republic of Tanzania from October 5 to 9.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on exploring areas of parliamentary cooperation and opportunities for enhancing communication and legislative expertise exchange. The discussions aimed at benefiting from advanced parliamentary practices and strengthening ties between Bahrain's Parliamentary Division and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie.
Both parties emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultation on mutual interests, enhancing parliamentary roles in international forums, and supporting parliamentary diplomacy. The meeting highlighted the need for building bridges of communication and exchanging perspectives on issues on the international parliamentary agenda.
Hala Ramzy Fayez, Shura Council member and Deputy Head of Bahrain's Parliamentary Division delegation, along with MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan, attended the meeting.
