Accra:Marco Manson claimed victory in the first race of the Formula Trophy Malaysia's season-opening round, which took place in conjunction with the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Manson, representing Pinnacle Motorsport, completed the 11-lap race with a time of 2919.010, surpassing pole-sitter Juste Mulder from Evans GP by 1.130 seconds. Hoai Nam Anh Nguyen, also from Evans GP, secured third place, finishing 2.179 seconds behind Manson.
The Formula Trophy Malaysia event is set to continue with the second race scheduled for Sunday at 1145 a.m. local time.
