Housing Ministry Partners with Educational Institutions in Bahrain

Manama:The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has signed eight memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with various social, academic, and training organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This collaboration was formalized during the second edition of the Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector 2026.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the MoUs were signed by Fatima Ibrahim Al Mannai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, with the Khalifa Fund, Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, Gulf University, Ahlia University, Applied Sciences University, Royal University for Women, American University of Bahrain, and British University of Bahrain.

Undersecretary Al Mannai emphasized that these agreements reflect the ministry's dedication to expanding partnerships with academic and training institutions. The aim is to leverage their expertise in human resource development, skill enhancement, and professional learning opportunities.

The memoranda establish cooperation frameworks for training and knowledge exchange, facilitating the creation of programs that address the ministry's operational needs. Al Mannai highlighted the significance of integrating institutional expertise with academic knowledge to enhance performance and adapt to advancements in the housing and urban planning sector.

This initiative is part of the ministry's broader strategy to explore collaborative opportunities that advance the sector through the involvement of educational and training bodies in capability development and support of professional growth pathways.
