Abu Dhabi:Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Labour and Minister of Legal Affairs of Bahrain, met with Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, UAE Minister of Justice, during an official visit to Abu Dhabi. The visit was part of the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Khalaf emphasized the strong and growing relations between Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, particularly in the legal and legislative sectors.
The meeting resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bahrain's Ministry of Legal Affairs and the UAE Ministry of Justice. This agreement aims to enhance legal and judicial cooperation, improve coordination, and facilitate the exchange of expertise and best practices in justice and the rule of law.
The MoU outlines cooperation in areas such as legislative drafting, training and professional development for legal practitioners, and sharing expertise in legislative labs. It also covers professional legal certifications and electronic systems related to legislative drafting.
