Manama:The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has enhanced its personal record data update service for secondary school graduates. This initiative is part of the government's efforts to streamline and improve services.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the updated service allows graduates to update their civil record and identity card data automatically in two steps, significantly reducing the previous processing time. The new process decreases the Service Level Agreement by 25% and cuts the application steps from five to two, simplifying the procedure and reducing the number of approvals needed by 25%. It also standardizes the service information across all channels.
Ebrahim Ali Al Bursheed, Assistant Undersecretary for Education at the Ministry of Education, highlighted that this development reflects a move towards more integrated government services. The direct linking of government school graduates' data enables automatic updates of academic qualifications once graduation certificates are approved, streamlining procedures and speeding up transaction completion.
Al Bursheed mentioned that over 13,000 graduates benefit from this service annually. He emphasized the Ministry's dedication to improving services and using digital integration to enhance students' and graduates' experiences with government services.
Ali Abdulaziz Janahi, Executive Vice President of eTransformation at iGA, stated that this service development is part of ongoing efforts to advance government services through integration and automation. This approach aims to make the process easier and faster for beneficiaries, reducing the time and effort required to obtain services and improving the overall efficiency and quality of government operations.
