Manama: Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Muscat, received Dr. Hashim Hussein, Head of the Investment and Technology Promotion Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the presence of Her Highness Sayyida Hujaija Al Said, CEO of the Bahraini-Omani Entrepreneurs Association. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for joint cooperation in economic and development fields to support entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises in both Bahrain and Oman.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ambassador emphasized the significance of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises as essential drivers of economic growth and job creation. He highlighted the historical ties and ongoing development of bilateral relations between Bahrain and Oman across various sectors.
Dr. Hashim Hussein praised the support from Bahrain's leadership for entrepreneurship, noting its role in fostering a culture of innovation and enhancing the private sector's contribution to economic development. He pointed out that Bahrain's entrepreneurship model has gained international recognition, being implemented in 56 countries, demonstrating Bahrain's leadership in developing entrepreneurship ecosystems.
Dr. Hussein also recognized the Bahraini-Omani Entrepreneurs Association's role in empowering youth and women through small and medium-sized enterprises. Her Highness Sayyida Hujaija Al Said underlined the importance of strengthening partnerships between entrepreneurship entities in both countries, benefiting from international expertise provided by UNIDO to enhance entrepreneurs' capabilities and create new opportunities for Bahraini and Omani enterprises.
