Industry Ministry Enhances Sijilat System for Streamlined Commercial Registration Services

Manama: As part of ongoing efforts to enhance and restructure government services, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has upgraded its commercial registration services through the Sijilat commercial licensing system. These enhancements include the branch addition, activity addition, and activity change services, aiming to simplify and expedite transaction processes.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the newly developed digital services are designed to streamline procedures and enable faster completion of transactions by reducing the number of required steps. The upgrades focus on managing branches and activities under commercial registrations, allowing users to effortlessly add branches and commercial activities or modify existing activities. By restructuring and simplifying procedures, the application steps have been reduced, thus accelerating the entire transaction process.

Under the new system, the application process for adding a branch, adding an activity, and changing an activity has been consolidated into four steps each. Despite the streamlining, the Ministry's processing time remains unchanged at three working days. Additionally, the number of approvals required for these services has been cut by 25%, further reducing the time and effort needed for businesses to make necessary changes.

The improvements also extend to the user interface and experience, offering simplified procedures and standardized service information across different channels. This development includes the migration of services from Sijilat 3.0 to Sijilat 4.0, ensuring a more efficient and user-friendly platform for commercial registrations.
