Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, sent a cable to Shaikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing Bahrain's full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following the terrorist attacks carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia using ballistic missiles and drones targeting the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh affirmed Bahrain's full support for Saudi Arabia and its solidarity with all measures and steps it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, and protect its citizens and residents. He also affirmed Bahrain's condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attacks, which injured civilians and caused material damage to residential homes and vehicles.
He stressed that the repeated and ongoing terrorist attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia constitute a condemned and rejected assault and a blatant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and the UN Charter.
The chairman noted that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia are an integral part of Bahrain's security, reflecting the deep-rooted historical ties and close relations between the two Kingdoms, which enjoy the continued support, backing, and attention of their leaderships.
He highlighted Bahrain's call on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities and take a firm position to stop the repeated terrorist Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia, hold those responsible accountable, and implement its relevant resolutions, contributing to safeguarding regional security and stability and protecting civilians and civilian objects.
