Manama: Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Head of its Mission to the European Union, held a significant meeting with Ana Maria Boura, the Senior Foreign Policy Adviser in the Office of the President of the European Council. This meeting took place as part of Bahrain's role as the representative of the country holding the presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was also attended by Ambassador Haifa Abdulrahman Al Jedea, Head of the Mission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the European Union, and Ambassador Fahad Saqr Al Jemaaz, Head of the Mission of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council to the European Union. The discussions centered around enhancing the GCC-EU partnership and preparing for the upcoming second GCC-EU Summit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aiming to strengthen strategic ties and serve the mutual interests of both entities.
Further discussions involved exploring opportunities for expanding cooperation in various sectors, including economy and investment, energy security, and connectivity. The exchange of views highlighted the commitment of both the GCC and EU to collaborate on shared goals and address common challenges in these fields.
