Manama: The Ministry of Social Development honoured the second group of civil society organisations that received ISO 26000 social responsibility compliance certificates, in the presence of Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the certificates were awarded as part of an Al Kooheji Foundation project to develop social organisations, under the consultancy supervision of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility. The minister mentioned that this achievement reflects the organisations' commitment to developing institutional performance and strengthening social responsibility, governance, and quality practices. He emphasized the ministry's ongoing support for enhancing the administrative and institutional capabilities of civil society organisations.
Ten civil society organisations were awarded ISO 26000 compliance certificates. Additionally, Al Kooheji Foundation was recognised for obtaining both ISO 26000 social responsibility and ISO 37000 governance compliance certificates.
