Saudi Energy Ministry Reports Attacks on Energy Facilities in the Southern Region

Manama: An official source at the Ministry of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stated that several energy sector facilities and installations in the southern region of the Kingdom were targeted this morning, noting that relevant authorities began addressing the situation and taking all necessary measures.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the attacks caused fires at several locations, leading to a temporary halt in some operations. Specialised field teams have begun containing the fires, securing the sites, and assessing the damage.

The source added that the attacks resulted in injuries of varying severity among several citizens and residents, who are currently receiving the necessary medical care as follow-up operations continue, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The source confirmed that the relevant authorities are continuing to address the repercussions of the attacks and are taking the necessary measures to ensure the safety of facilities and personnel, as well as the continuity of operations in accordance with approved operational plans.
