Manama: Reza Mohtashami, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR), participated in the second edition of the "Hawar Circle," an event organised by the Council for International Dispute Resolution of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Mohtashami joins a group of arbitration professionals drawn from jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom, Republic of Singapore, French Republic, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Republic of India, and Hong Kong, as this year's gathering builds on conversations first initiated during the inaugural Hawar Circle.
Mohtashami's involvement underscores BCDR's continued commitment to advancing international dialogue on the core principles of arbitration, drawing inspiration from the Centenary Principles of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in London. The second edition places particular emphasis on three focus areas: Immunity, Ethics, and the Right of Representation in international arbitration.
Throughout the three-day gathering, participants will address current challenges within the field, share insights from their respective practices, and work together to refine principles that support fair and efficient dispute resolution. The outcomes of these discussions will inform the ongoing evolution of the "Hawar Principles," which are due to undergo a global review process before final adoption.
