Manama: Sara Ahmed Buhiji, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), attended the Concours of Elegance 2026 at Hampton Court Palace in the United Kingdom. The event showcased a collection of rare classic and historic cars, attracting leading collectors, experts, and enthusiasts.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Buhiji emphasized the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa in enhancing Bahrain's position as a premier destination for international events. This participation highlights Bahrain's capacity to offer unique experiences that blend its cultural identity with world-class event organization.
During the event, Buhiji presented the BTEA Award to the 1939 Voisin C30 Saloon, a rare model with unique bodywork. The Royal Bahrain Concours Award was given to the 1933 Aston Martin Le Mans, noted for its historical significance. These awards underscore BTEA's dedication to celebrating automotive heritage and design excellence, as well as its partnership with Thorough Events.
Bahrain's pavilion at the event highlighted the Kingdom's cultural identity through traditional crafts, entertainment, and interactive experiences. It also promoted Bahrain's key tourism destinations and experiences.
Buhiji stated that the event served to promote the upcoming Royal Bahrain Concours, scheduled for November 6-7 at the Royal Golf Club in Riffa, under the patronage of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Organized by Thorough Events with BTEA, the event promises a showcase of rare cars and Bahraini hospitality.
