Manama: The Institute of Public Administration (IPA) has announced the opening of registration for the second intake of its Master of Science in Leadership and Innovation programme. This programme is offered in collaboration with King's College London, UK and aims to prepare and empower leaders in both the public and private sectors. It is designed to equip them with the necessary knowledge and innovative solutions to enhance institutional performance.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Director General of IPA, highlighted that the programme represents a strategic initiative to develop national competencies. She emphasized that the degree is directly awarded by King's College London and that it has been officially classified at Level 9 of Bahrain's National Qualifications Framework, comprising 180 credit hours.
Dr. Shaikha Rana further explained that the programme merges international academic expertise with practical application. This approach enables leaders to develop and implement proactive policies, improve institutional performance, foster a culture of innovation, and lead impactful change aligned with national and regional development goals.
The 18-month programme is conducted in English and follows a blended learning model. It combines in-person sessions in Bahrain with online learning, allowing professionals to continue their careers while studying. Admission prerequisites include a bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.3 or a GPA of 3.0 with at least five years of work experience. Additionally, applicants must meet the university's English language proficiency requirements.
