Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Southern Governor, chaired the eighth meeting of the Security Committee for 2026. HH the Governor emphasized the committee's role in executing the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, and addressing the needs of citizens to bolster security and stability throughout the Southern Governorate.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali examined reports on police security arrangements for September events. The meeting included discussions on operational statistics, civil defence reports from August, and traffic enforcement figures. The Governor stressed the importance of maintaining preparedness, ensuring close follow-up, and taking swift action to uphold public safety and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Additionally, HH the Governor was briefed on a community-focused programme designed to strengthen partnerships. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to engage with the community and enhance collaborative security measures.
