Manama: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's strong condemnation and denunciation of the renewed Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates with a drone, in flagrant violation of its sovereignty and a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability, in contravention of the rules of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, Security Council Resolution No. (2817), and the principles of good neighbourliness.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry affirmed Bahrain's full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and its complete support for all measures taken by the UAE to preserve its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to protect its citizens and residents. It also commended the UAE Armed Forces and air defense systems in intercepting the aircraft over the UAE's territorial waters.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Bahrain's call to the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities and take urgent and decisive measures to compel Iran to comply with the rules of international law and the UN Charter, to cease its aggressive actions that threaten the security and stability of the region, and to respect freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and other vital waterways, in order to contribute to reducing escalation and tension and maintaining regional security and stability.
