UAE Suspends Trade and Financial Transactions with Iran Amid Regional Tensions

Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates halted all trade activities, commercial exchanges, and financial transactions with the Islamic Republic of Iran until further notice, amid regional escalation that has undermined regional and international peace and security. In a statement, Afra Al Hameli, Director of the Strategic Communications Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, rejected all allegations regarding the status of economic relations between the UAE and Iran.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Hameli emphasized the UAE's commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and regional integration as essential means to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

Al Hameli stressed the UAE's firm commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the international financial system in accordance with international law and the highest global standards.
