Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, sent two cables of congratulations to Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani, Chairman of the Senate, on Pakistan's Independence Day. The Speaker also extended his congratulations to Saqib Rauf, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the messages were sent in recognition of Pakistan's national celebration and to strengthen the diplomatic ties between Bahrain and Pakistan. The Speaker expressed his best wishes for the continued prosperity and success of the Pakistani government and its people.
