Manama: The Interior Ministry announced that the Coast Guard carried out a maritime awareness campaign in cooperation and coordination with Bapco Energies, as part of the 3D marine survey project currently being implemented in the northern maritime areas of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the campaign aimed to raise awareness among fishermen, boat owners, and seafarers of the importance of complying with maritime safety guidelines and instructions regulating navigation in the project areas. These guidelines include adhering to safe speeds, avoiding approaching or tampering with marine survey equipment and devices, and refraining from maritime activities and fishing of all kinds within the designated work areas. The campaign is focused on maintaining the safety of seafarers and their property and ensuring that the project works proceed safely and in an organised manner.
The Coast Guard urged all seafarers to exercise caution, comply with the announced instructions and guidelines, and cooperate with marine patrols and the entities responsible for the project. The Coast Guard affirmed the continuation of its awareness and regulatory efforts to enhance the maritime security and safety system in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
