Kuwait city: The Kuwaiti Armed Forces intercepted a number of ballistic missiles and hostile drones that entered the country's airspace since early Friday, according to the Ministry of Defence.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Colonel Saud Al Atwan, spokesperson for the Kuwait Ministry of Defence, reported that the Iranian attacks targeted several military facilities and camps, injuring a number of personnel from the Kuwaiti Ground Forces. The injured personnel have received the necessary medical treatment and are in stable condition.
Colonel Al Atwan further stated that several vital civilian facilities, including a power generation and water desalination plant, were targeted, resulting in a fire and damage to the facility and electricity generation units. Falling missile and drone shrapnel led to material damage at various locations across the country, although no civilian casualties have been reported.
He emphasized that the Kuwaiti Armed Forces will maintain a high level of readiness, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to protect the country's sovereignty, security, and stability, and to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
