Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has issued a strong condemnation of the ongoing Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting civilian and vital facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan. These actions have been described as a significant escalation that threatens civilian lives and regional stability, and they are being viewed as a clear violation of international law, the UN Charter, and principles of good neighborliness.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain expressed its full solidarity with the affected nations. The ministry has pledged support for all legitimate measures taken by these countries to defend their sovereignty and protect their populations, in line with Article 51 of the UN Charter and the GCC Joint Defence Agreement. Additionally, it praised the readiness and capability of the Bahrain Defence Force and regional air defenses in countering these Iranian strikes.
The ministry has reiterated its call for the United Nations Security Council and the international community to take decisive and deterrent actions to stop Iranian aggression. It has demanded that Iran be held fully accountable under international law, including UN Security Council Resolution 2817 and Human Rights Council Resolution 61/1. These measures are seen as essential to ensure maritime safety in the Strait of Hormuz and to protect both regional and global peace and security.
