Qatar Strongly Condemns Iranian Attacks on Multiple Nations

Doha: The State of Qatar condemned in the strongest terms the renewed Iranian attacks targeting its territory and the territories of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. In a statement, the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attacks as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the targeted countries and a serious breach of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the principles of good neighbourliness, the Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry stressed that the continued attacks represent a dangerous escalation that could complicate efforts to contain tensions and undermine political and diplomatic efforts to achieve security and stability in the region. It also held the Islamic Republic of Iran fully responsible under international law for the attacks and their consequences.

The ministry stated that Qatar reserves its full right to respond in accordance with international law and Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, and to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and citizens. It also expressed Qatar's full solidarity with the three countries and its support for all lawful measures they take to safeguard their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

The ministry emphasised the need for an immediate and comprehensive halt to all military actions and attacks that threaten regional security and stability, urging all parties to avoid further escalation, return to meaningful dialogue and negotiations, and adhere to the understandings reached through diplomatic efforts.
