REHC and Konexus Resources Group Ink Sponsorship Deal for 2026/2027 Racing Season

Manama: The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) has entered into a sponsorship agreement with Konexus Resources Group for the 2026/2027 racing season. This partnership emphasizes the club's dedication to fostering collaborations with both local and international entities, while also promoting the growth of horseracing within the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement was formalized during REHC's participation in the July Festival at Newmarket Racecourse in the United Kingdom. The event coincided with the club's Golden Jubilee celebrations, marking its 50th year of establishment. The agreement was signed by Yusuf Osama Buheji, a member of the High Committee of the REHC and its acting CEO, alongside Brijender Singh, the Managing Director of Konexus Resources Group. Konexus is renowned for providing innovative solutions in the resources and industrial sectors.

Buheji highlighted the robust support for horseracing in Bahrain and the sector's significant advancements through international championships and events organized by the REHC. He stated that these developments have attracted more partners and investors, both locally and globally, furthering the sport's growth. Buheji welcomed the collaboration with Konexus Resources Group, emphasizing that it paves the way for new cooperative opportunities and demonstrates Konexus's support for horseracing by sponsoring one of the REHC's local race days during the 2026/2027 season.

Singh expressed pride in establishing Konexus Resources Group's initial partnership within Bahrain's sports sector. He commended the club's international achievements and its growing global reputation, which influenced the group's decision to sponsor the upcoming racing season. Singh remarked that the sponsorship aligns with the group's commitment to supporting horseracing and recognizes the club as a valuable platform for enhancing business relations. Additionally, Singh mentioned that Konexus's manufacturing subsidiary, Konexus Aluminium International (KAI), operates an aluminium rod mill in Bahrain, producing EC grade aluminium rods for regional and international markets under the "Made in Bahrain" label and providing over 75 jobs.
