Youth Minister Highlights Role of Bahraini and Arab Youth in Development

Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, emphasized that Arab Youth Day serves as an occasion to celebrate the significant contributions of young people to development, underscoring their role in shaping the future and turning aspirations into tangible achievements.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Tawfeeqi noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain's progress in empowering and supporting its youth aligns with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This vision has established a national strategy that strengthens the role of young talent and promotes their participation in development and decision-making processes.

Tawfeeqi also highlighted the ongoing support from His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. This support has been pivotal in creating an integrated system that nurtures young people, enabling them to enhance their skills and contribute across various sectors.

She stressed that the rapid global developments highlight the necessity of investing in people by equipping young individuals with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities required to drive continued development and achieve further progress.

Tawfeeqi expressed pride in the accomplishments of Bahraini youth at local, regional, and international levels, stating that these achievements reflect their competence, ambition, and creativity, demonstrating the success of Bahrain's approach to investing in and empowering young people.
