Shura Chairman Credits HM the King’s Vision for Bahrain’s Legislative Success

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, emphasized that Bahrain has become a leading model in democratic governance and legislative development, attributing this progress to the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also noted the sustained royal support for the legislative authority as a driving force behind these achievements.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh's statement was made in observance of the International Day of Parliamentarism, celebrated annually on June 30. He highlighted that the parliamentary institution, established under His Majesty's comprehensive reform program, plays a vital role in advancing Bahrain's democratic process and enacting legislation that supports national development. Al Saleh acknowledged the King's recognition of the legislative authority as a constitutional pillar that upholds the rule of law and collaborates with the government to foster national progress.

The Chairman further acknowledged the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in enhancing cooperation between the executive and legislative branches. He stated that this partnership has been instrumental in sustaining legislative achievements and promoting national development through the Team Bahrain approach.

Al Saleh reaffirmed the Shura Council's commitment to advancing legislation that serves the national interest. He emphasized the importance of reinforcing Bahrain's parliamentary diplomacy and increasing its participation in regional and international parliamentary forums. The Council will continue its close collaboration with the government to build on the Kingdom's achievements and support its development objectives.
