HH Labour Undersecretary Inaugurates UCB’s 21st Career Day Exhibition

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, inaugurated the 21st Career Day Exhibition organised by University College of Bahrain (UCB). The event was attended by Shaikh Ali bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Executive Director of Institutional Transformation at the university, Dr. Rana Abdullah Sawaya, President of UCB, members of the university's administrative and academic staff, and representatives of several public and private sector organisations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Undersecretary affirmed the Ministry of Labour's support for initiatives that promote career guidance for students and jobseekers and enhance awareness of the current and future skills required by the labour market. He commended Bahrain University College for its commitment to organising the annual exhibition and providing students and graduates with opportunities to engage directly with employers, thereby strengthening their employability and readiness to enter the workforce.

The Undersecretary toured the exhibition, where he was briefed on the employment opportunities and training programmes offered by participating organisations for jobseekers. He also honoured the participating organisations in recognition of their contribution to supporting employment initiatives and the development of national talent.

For her part, President of UCB said that the exhibition forms part of the university's efforts to support students by introducing them to the employment and training opportunities available across various organisations and companies. She noted that the event provides a valuable platform for direct engagement with participating employers, helping students broaden their professional knowledge, develop their skills, and advance their future career prospects.
