Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, strongly condemned the Iranian attack that targeted the Kingdom of Bahrain using a number of drones, emphasising Bahrain's firm rejection of any act that undermines its security, stability, and national sovereignty.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chairman stated that the attack constitutes a clear violation of international law and norms and undermines ongoing efforts to promote peace and de-escalation. He expressed full support for the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and underscored the legislative authority's backing for all measures undertaken by the Kingdom to safeguard its security, protect its territory and citizens, and confront any attempts to undermine security and stability in the region.
The Chairman also commended the national unity demonstrated by the people of Bahrain and their solidarity behind the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He said this national cohesion represents a strong safeguard against threats and external interference.
He also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities by condemning these violations and working collectively to ensure respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs, in a manner that preserves regional and international peace and security.
