Shura Chairman and Saudi Counterpart Engage in Parliamentary Cooperation Discussion

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, met with Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Alsheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, at the 8th Conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chairman highlighted the strong and historical ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the mutual trust and shared destiny that bind the two nations. He noted the progress in various fields of cooperation and integration under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, with the active involvement of their respective crown princes and prime ministers, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This collaboration has fortified the strategic partnership and led to significant shared accomplishments.

The Chairman praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in bolstering regional security, stability, and promoting peaceful resolutions to regional challenges. He remarked that these efforts demonstrate Saudi Arabia's commitment to regional development and prosperity.

Furthermore, the Chairman recognized the importance of the close parliamentary cooperation between the Shura councils of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. He pointed out that regular communication, bilateral meetings, and reciprocal visits help unify positions and exchange parliamentary expertise, advancing the shared interests of both nations.

He stressed the need for ongoing coordination and consultation between the two councils in parliamentary forums, and for enhancing joint parliamentary efforts to support Arab causes and promote regional security and development.

Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Alsheikh expressed his pride in the enduring relations between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, celebrating their development across various domains.
