Manama: The support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for Ashoora reflects a commitment to promoting values of coexistence, religious tolerance, and freedom of worship within Bahrain's state of law and institutions, according to Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Speaker Al Musallam emphasized the significance of this support as a key factor in the successful celebration of religious occasions, highlighting Bahrain as a nation where citizens are united in their dedication to the country and its leadership. He praised the directives and close oversight by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which ensured that all service, security, and organizational requirements for Ashoora were met. These directives were implemented efficiently, showcasing the government's ability to manage large gatherings with professionalism.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, led by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in ensuring participant safety, managing movement, and providing assistance.
