Speaker Congratulates Council of Representatives Secretary-General on International Appointment

Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, congratulated Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Council and Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, on his unanimous election as Vice-President of the Association of Secretaries General of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and as a member of the Association's Bureau.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the election took place during the Union's 20th conference in Baku, Azerbaijan. Al Musallam emphasized that the appointment marks a significant achievement for Bahrain's parliamentary sector and highlights the Kingdom's increasing influence within regional and international parliamentary organisations.

Al Musallam attributed this achievement to Bahrain's continued progress under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He expressed confidence in Al Sisi Al Buainain's ability to advance parliamentary cooperation among OIC member states and to further enhance Bahrain's presence on the international parliamentary stage.
