Bahrain Focuses on Strengthening Global Presence and Local Initiatives

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted significant local events, emphasizing the kingdom's efforts in enhancing its global presence and local initiatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty the King received the UK ambassador and awarded him the Order of Bahrain (First Class). Additionally, His Majesty issued Order (20) of 2026, establishing the National Resilience Documentation Committee. The King also received numerous cables from Bahraini families, affirming their loyalty and support.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad hailed the Bahrain International Trophy's promotion to Group 1 status as a milestone achievement, reinforcing Bahrain's status among the world's leading horseracing nations. The Information Minister echoed this sentiment, stating that the Group 1 status elevates the kingdom's global standing in horseracing.

On the diplomatic front, the Foreign Minister engaged in a series of phone calls with international counterparts, including Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, the UK Undersecretary for Middle East, North Africa and Afghanistan, and the Costa Rican Foreign Minister. The Foreign Minister also received the Charg© d'Affaires of the US Embassy.

In other governmental activities, the Deputy Prime Minister met with the Albilad Chairman, and the Commander-in-Chief received the Royal Bahrain Air Force Commander and the Assistant Commander of the Royal Armour Unit.

The Education Minister had a busy schedule, receiving the Director General of the Arab Bureau of Education for Gulf States and 180 top-performing students across Bahrain. The minister also met with parents of the first Middle Years International Baccalaureate cohort.

The Health Minister inaugurated the Imam Hussain Medical Clinic in Manama ahead of Ashoora 1448 AH. Additionally, Bahrain hosted the 9th Extraordinary Meeting of GCC Industry Undersecretaries, showcasing its commitment to regional cooperation and development.

INJAZ Bahrain celebrated the kingdom's next generation of entrepreneurs at the 18th Young Entrepreneurs Competition, highlighting Bahrain's focus on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among its youth.
