Muharraq Municipality Partners with Batelco for Digital Advertising Expansion

Muharraq: Muharraq Municipality has signed an agreement with Batelco to operate and invest in 10 digital advertising sites along the Muharraq Ring Road for five years. The signing was witnessed by Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, alongside key officials such as Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs, and Maitham Abdullah, CEO of Batelco, part of Beyon.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ceremony was attended by Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Na'ar, Chairman of the Muharraq Municipal Council, and several officials from the ministry and Batelco. The agreement is seen as a significant step in enhancing municipal advertising assets and integrating advanced technological solutions into the advertising sector. The ministry emphasized its dedication to fostering private sector partnerships to promote digital transformation, improve municipal services, and enhance the use of municipal assets sustainably.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa remarked that the agreement aims to develop and manage advertising sites more efficiently, maximizing their investment potential amidst the fast-evolving advertising industry. The expansion of modern digital screens is expected to offer flexible and effective advertising options, improving management and service delivery to beneficiaries.

Khalid Ali Al Qallaf, Director General of Muharraq Municipality, stated that this initiative aligns with the municipality's plans to broaden the use of digital advertising screens, converting more sites to electronic formats. This supports smart city initiatives and provides advertisers with greater flexibility and diversity.

The CEO of Batelco commented that the agreement underscores Batelco's commitment to Bahrain's digital transformation through advanced digital solutions and technologies. The company aims to leverage its expertise in developing and operating advertising sites to the highest standards, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the Kingdom's smart city goals.
