Northern Governor Engages Maatam Officials in Strategic Meeting

Manama: Hassan Abdulla Al Madani, the Northern Governor, met with heads and officials of maatams in the Governorate. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Abdulla Ali Rashid Mantar, Deputy Governor, representatives of security directorates at the Interior Ministry, and concerned service authorities.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Madani expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their leadership's support of religious rituals, particularly Ashoora. He also acknowledged the efforts of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, in executing the royal vision to ensure the smooth and organized observance of Ashoora.

Al Madani emphasized the importance of maintaining the religious values of the occasion and preventing practices that could compromise its integrity. He highlighted the directives of the Interior Minister during his annual meeting with maatam leaders, which reflected a high level of concern and national responsibility in observing Ashoora while ensuring security, order, and community cooperation.

The Governor thanked all security and service authorities for their cooperation and continuous efforts to hold the rituals in a secure and orderly environment. He commended the maatam administrations for their cooperation and high sense of responsibility in previous years, contributing significantly to the success of Ashoora.

Maatam heads expressed their appreciation to the Northern Governorate and affirmed their commitment to continued cooperation with all relevant authorities to ensure the successful and safe observance of Ashoora.
