Manama: The Ministry of Education recently hosted the closing ceremony of the school sports championships at the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel, where organizing teams, partners, and sponsors were honored for their contributions. Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, the Minister of Education, was present at the event.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Juma highlighted the significant progress made in school sports, including various championships, competitions, and activities. He praised the Ministry's Physical Education Directorate staff and the educational and support sectors for their efforts throughout the academic year in organizing these events. Dr. Juma also expressed gratitude to private sector partners and sponsors for their support of educational and sports programs, which broadened the student beneficiaries and led to numerous achievements.
The ceremony featured a film showcasing key moments from the school sports championships and the extensive participation of both male and female students during the academic year, along with the achievements recorded during the school sports season. It also announced several initiatives and projects that the Ministry intends to implement in the upcoming academic year. Additionally, the event included a performance by school students.
In closing the ceremony, the Education Minister honored the sponsors, partners, and committee members who played a role in organizing and ensuring the success of the school sports championships.
