HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Emphasizes National Investment in Youth Education for Global Competitiveness

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology, highlighted the Centre's dedication to developing specialised educational pathways that align with future needs. This commitment aims to cultivate national talent equipped to excel in the new knowledge economy. According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasized that investing in the education and skills of young people is crucial for enhancing their global competitiveness and supporting sustainable development. This aligns with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government's ongoing support, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The remarks were made during HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad's patronage of the graduation ceremony for the tenth cohort of students at the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology. The event was attended by HH Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, several ministers, senior officials, and parents. The Centre celebrated the graduation of 179 students from specialised educational pathways, including engineering, technological innovation, sports, and business management. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad underscored the importance of Bahraini youth as the nation's primary asset and a key driver of development efforts. He affirmed the Centre's ongoing role in preparing qualified young talent with the necessary knowledge and skills to innovate and compete in various vital sectors. During the ceremony, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, Chief Executive Officer of the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology, delivered a speech marking a decade of achievements for the Centre. He highlighted its advanced position in quality education and training through pioneering programmes and specialisations across the region. The Centre has expanded its services to include professional training and the development of artificial intelligence solutions for organisations. Dr. Al Nuaimi noted that graduates of this cohort have obtained internationally recognised certificates and accreditations in fields such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as sports and business management. This success reflects the efficacy of the Centre's programmes in preparing qualified national talent in line with high academic standards and the demands of rapidly evolving economic and technological sectors. He expressed his best wishes for the graduates' future success.
